Once you installed the game put the game.dat file into the game folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-Earth II
Install the BFME II patch switcher, same for your game don’t change the installation path and start it to fix your game resolution. 
Note that you will probably need to disable your antivirus for few minute to get the key, it’s completly safe as the keygen is a false positive so don’t be an elf.
Execute autorun.exe and install the game to his normal path/folder, when it ask the CD key use the cd key generator. From now you have all you need if you followed the part 1, right click on your BFME II iso and mount it with WinCDmu. Download the BFME II Patch Switcher to get the latest version of the game.
